Michael Edward Heitman

My best bud Mike passed away in 2017. He was a great friend who never met a stranger. It was unexpected and a huge shock to his friends and family. His parents are in their late 70's and live a simple life. Almost all of their savings went to cover his funeral costs. They've lived in the same house since Mike was in elementary school. This was a big loss as you could have imagine.

During the Astros party, Julie Morales, the Astros Game Time reporter, visited us on the roof top. She asked what we were celebrating on a live broadcast. We were able to tell thousands of Astros fans about Mike.

Fast forward two months to when we handed the money to Mr. and Mrs. Heitman. We explained how we raised the money during an Astros game. Mr. Heitman's eyes lit up and he said I was watching the game and heard them talk about Mike. Talk about a perfect moment.
